Your numbers
Payable to payee
₹90,000
- TDS to deposit
- ₹10,000
How this is calculated
TDS = Payment × Rate ÷ 100. Payable = Payment − TDS.
This deliberately does not ship a table of section rates. Rates and thresholds change with each Finance Act, and a stale built-in rate would produce a confidently wrong number. Enter the rate for your section, and confirm thresholds, surcharge and any higher rate for a missing PAN with your accountant.
Worked example
| Payment amount | ₹1,00,000 |
|---|---|
| TDS rate | 10 % |
| Payable to payee | ₹90,000 |
| TDS to deposit | ₹10,000 |
Formula: TDS = Payment × Rate ÷ 100. Payable = Payment − TDS.
